We currently have a vacancy open for a Structural Engineer who is looking to develop their career, working on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK. This role will be based at our Braintree office, subject to business requirements the role may be eligible for hybrid working.
As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of Structural services for a range of projects. You will be providing technical expertise, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, whilst ensuring compliance within all relevant design standards and regulations.
Key Areas of Responsibilities Will Include:
* Perform site inspections and evaluate existing structures to determine the need for repairs or replacements.
* Design new structures or modify existing ones, following relevant design codes and standards.
* Prepare comprehensive structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
* Collaborate with the Civil, Mechanical and Electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into wider projects.
* Engage in design reviews, project meetings, and visit construction sites as needed.
* Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other duties as necessary.
Requirements
* Experienced in AutoCAD and Revit.
* A relevant degree/apprenticeship and working experience.
* Must be willing to travel for site visits and client meetings.
* Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership.
This role requires you to have a full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle, and will be subject to a DBS Enhanced check.
Hours: Monday to Friday8:30am - 5:00pm
