The Role
We’re looking for a compassionate and organised Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to join our team in Oldbury. As the key link between our delivery teams and residents, you’ll help ensure communication is clear, respectful and inclusive throughout planned maintenance and refurbishment works.
Axis RLOs are customer focussed and provide a one-stop contact point, empowering residents to feel respected and valued by maintaining the best quality experience when engaging with us. We are looking for you to bring your caring and compassionate attitude to our fantastic Team, showing empathy and proactiveness for our residents.
Responsibilities
* Attend Resident Surgeries and assist vulnerable people reporting repairs, keep residents and scheme managers up to date on progress
* Organise consultation events and attend meetings as required
* Identify vulnerabilities relating to individual residents and liaise with client’s housing officers or support services where necessary. Work with our Performance Team to ensure and identified vulnerabilities are accurately recorded within the organisations systems.
* Investigate, register all complaints and report in accordance with company and client procedures. Ensure all MP, Councillor enquiries and complaints are investigated and resolved efficiently and within target and advising residents and clients of their outcomes
Requirements
* Experience in a Resident Liaison role or customer-facing position within social housing, property maintenance or construction.
* Strong empathy and the ability to support vulnerable individuals with professionalism and care.
* Awareness of challenges faced by residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a calm, approachable manner.
* Highly organised, proactive and solution-focused.
* Confident working collaboratively with site teams and clients.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
