The Opportunity

We are looking for a friendly, motivated and guest‑focused Front Office Team Member to join our hotel team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in shaping how they feel from the moment they arrive.

This role is all about helping people feel welcome, relaxed and cared for. Whether you are checking guests in, answering questions or supporting them throughout their stay, your calm approach, positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a smooth and memorable experience.

You will be part of a supportive team where confidence, connection and collaboration matter. Working closely with colleagues across the hotel, you will help ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes while keeping the guest experience at the heart of everything you do.

Key Responsibilities

1. Welcome guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a smooth and reassuring check‑in and check‑out experience
2. Respond to guest enquiries, requests and concerns promptly, helping guests feel heard, valued and supported
3. Handle phone calls and emails, take reservations and accurately manage guest information
4. Support administrative tasks such as billing, record‑keeping and report generation with care and accuracy
5. Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless, well‑coordinated guest journey

Hotel

The Holiday Inn Edinburgh is perfectly situated between Edinburgh Airport and the city centre, making it an ideal base for exploring all the attractions and sights that Edinburgh has to offer. Our Academy Conference Centre, located on the 5th floor with panoramic views of the Pentland Hills, features 14 meeting rooms and can accommodate up to 120 guests.

The hotel offers 303 bedrooms, including Executive and Family rooms. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options, including the excellent Traders Restaurant, a café, and a relaxing bar. Additionally, we provide a fully equipped gymnasium, swimming pool, sauna, and spa to help you relax and unwind.
