Are you an experienced and dynamic Employee Relations Advisor or an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys ER-based projects?
We are looking for a proactive ER Specialist to support a well-established business on a 6-month FTC basis. Reporting to the HR Director, the ER Specialist will support managers and the wider HR team through various projects and a range of ER cases.
Due to the focus of the role, this will be predominantly site-based (edge of East/West Yorkshire.) There is some flexibility around working hours. Likely 1 day a week from home will be possible.
The role is likely to be full-time, 5 days a week. However, for the right person, they would consider part-time, 4 days a week.
Role to start towards the end of June 2025. Salary c£38,000 per annum.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide expert guidance and support across a range of ER cases, providing clear, consistent guidance
* Advise and coach managers on best practices for managing employee relations matters
* Support the resolution of complex employee issues and disputes
* Lead or support investigations and hearings
* Ensuring the people processes are robust, fair, and aligned with policy and employment law
* Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is up to date
* Assist with various HR tasks and projects across the wider HR team
Skills & Experience:
* Strong background in Employee Relations, with a proven track record in resolving complex ER issues in a fast-paced environment
* Confident to work independently while also supporting others
* Solid knowledge of UK employment law and best practices
* Highly organised and methodical approach
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
