Job Description
As a key member of the Ports, Coastal and Offshore (PCO) team, you will influence the success of our maritime projects. You will lead and support projects focused on coastal ecosystem management, shoreline resilience, and climate adaptation. The role requires deep expertise in coastal processes, ecological restoration, and data‑driven decision‑making to guide multidisciplinary teams and inform policy and planning efforts.
Responsibilities include providing technical leadership, project management of deliverables, supporting business development and bidding, and mentoring junior team members.
Candidate Specification
* Master’s degree or PhD in Coastal Science, Marine Biology, Oceanography, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* Demonstrable professional experience in coastal research, management or consulting.
* Proficiency in GIS, remote sensing and coastal modelling tools (e.g., Delft3D, SWAN, ADCIRC) is advantageous.
* Evidence of leadership in complex, interdisciplinary projects.
* Ideally chartered with a relevant professional body.
* Familiarity with climate adaptation planning and policy.
Job Profile
Senior Coastal Scientist - part‑time, job share or full‑time opportunities are available. You will work across our global portfolio, advising clients on sustainable coastal and offshore infrastructure solutions.
