Your New Company A leading organisation within the metals manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their growing quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑driven professional to play a key role in ensuring product excellence and compliance across all stages of production. Your New Role As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards across incoming materials, in‑process components, and finished products. You will support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure all quality procedures align with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and ASTM.Key Responsibilities Inspect raw metals and components for dimensional accuracy and specification compliance Record and report non‑conforming materials to relevant teams Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards Use callipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools Identify defects including cracks, corrosion, warping, or surface irregularities Conduct visual and functional checks on finished metal products Perform destructive and non‑destructive testing (NDT), including ultrasonic, X‑ray, and magnetic particle testing Verify packaging and labelling meet customer and regulatory requirements Maintain inspection logs, test results, and compliance certificates Prepare reports on defects, trends, and corrective actions Communicate quality issues to supervisors and production teams Ensure all measuring and testing equipment is calibrated and operational Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements Support CAPA activities with engineering and production teams What You'll Need to Succeed Strong understanding of metal properties and manufacturing processes (casting, forging, machining, welding) Proficiency with inspection and measurement instruments Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO, ASTM, and ANSI Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to document findings clearly and communicate effectively across teams What You'll Get in Return You'll join a forward‑thinking organisation offering long‑term career development, competitive salary, and a supportive working environment committed to quality and continuous improvement.
