I am currently recruiting for a top aerospace client based out in Broughton (Chester), they are looking for a Logistics Production Scheduler initially for 6 months, paying £33.44/hour umbrella. This role is on-site 5 days a week. Responsible for the Logistics & Enablement strategy & implementation on the Wing of Tomorrow demonstrator build wing boxes. The role will be to work closely alongside the Manufacturing, Build Process and Production System development teams ensuring that all operational customer requirements are embodied into the logistics & enablement industrial process. This involves the planning and delivery of the operational requirements as well as our internal commitments to technology and process advancements within our processes. Once this has been completed the role will then encompass the daily support of all service provider's components and equipment to support the production build activity. This will require detailed working knowledge in a highly automated build environment & digital integration of these systems. The role comprises the support of the 17m Wing of Tomorrow boxes along with co-ordinating build for the next test wing. We operate to clear standards for Safety – this is a key mind set which ensures we become the site leaders for safe systems. KPI's for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People development drive daily operations. Key Accountabilities: • Ensure the efficient running of the Enablement system for People, Machines, Materials, Methods and Measurement • Add value through AOS (Operating System) operations excellence and implementing continuous improvement through the ‘'Lean'' performance management principles. • Direct responsibility for developing an effective relationship with internal customers to ensure full transparency on all aspects of production within designated areas of work. • Ensure designated area of work is prepared to enable implementation of build demand • Support the recruitment, training and development of staff as appropriate to full fill day to day tasks and ensure regular resource planning to ensure future headcount is in line with enablement strategy. • Ensure improvements to the safe working environment are driven through departmental objectives and management. • Ensure LOLER equipment is kept operational and ready for use • Support development of Use Cases for production system deployment • Set up Service level agreements (SLA) with internal & external service providers • Raise orders on Click & Buy and ensure immediate goods receipt on delivery • Seen as lead operational customer interface for any industrial system • Ensure the efficient running of the Enablement system for People, Machines, Materials, Methods and Measurement Key Qualities: • Excellent understanding of Composite wing builds enablement processes & procedures. • Demonstrated logistics & enablement support to operations working environment • Experience of working with services providers • Excellent personal and communication skills • High self-motivation and high level of attention to detail • Works well in a development change environment. • Embraces change as a way of adding value in particular within a digital factory environment
