We are now looking for a dedicated Water Quality Officer to join our team and play a central role in improving the health of Devon’s rivers, streams, estuaries, and coastal waters. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about environmental protection and partnership working. You will help drive forward collaborative efforts to improve water quality, reduce pollution, and ensure that Devon’s environment is safeguarded for future generations. The main functions of this role include: Lead the development of a comprehensive Devon Water Quality Report, outlining current legislation, regulatory frameworks, responsible authorities, and key areas of concern. Identify opportunities for collaboration to enhance water quality and reduce pollution countywide. Work with partners to develop water quality guidance, strategies, and best practice for Devon. Coordinate consultation processes, prepare documents, and support presentations, meetings, and workshops. Plan and coordinate a Devon Water Summit Conference, including agenda development, guest speakers, and opportunities for constructive discussion. Interview Date: 17th or 19th March 2026.
