SEND Teaching Assistant: London Borough of Barking & DagenhamWe are looking for SEND Teaching Assistants in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham to start immediately. You do not need previous experience in the role; just the approach and mindset to draw on your relevant skills and experience and make a difference for children with SEND.Morgan Hunt places SEND Teaching Assistants into the following settings:Primary SchoolsSecondary SchoolsSEND SchoolsWhat does the role involve?Supporting children with a range of different needs in experiencing and enjoying the best education possibleDisplaying immense empathy and emotional intelligence; to understand the specific challenges your students will faceSupporting students both one-to-one and in groupsLiaising with school colleagues, other relevant professionals and families to become the ultimate team player in delivering high educational outcomesBeing a champion of inclusion; putting student progress and wellbeing at the heart of everything you doPlaying a lead role in the delivery of individualised education plansWhat skills and experiences would be useful in this role?Experience of working as a SEND Teaching Assistant within schools is useful but not essentialExperience of working with vulnerable people in related settings; such as health & social care, NHS, youth work, charity sector, mental health or any other relevant environmentA degree in any subject is useful but not essentialExperience of supporting friends or family members with SEND; or through voluntary workWhat can Morgan Hunt offer you in this role?£500.00 - £550.00 per week pay; depending on experience levelFree online training modules to support and enhance your career developmentA supportive team of consultants who will guide you through every step in the process
