A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Manager to join a UK and Global known manufacturer in the Birmingham Area!
With no day ever being the same the Purchasing Manager role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Day to day management of the purchasing team (Team of 3)
2. Implementation of a category management approach
3. Manage the creation of material master data in SAP for spare parts
4. Source non-stock engineering parts
5. Develop and maintain good working relationships with the key internal and external stakeholders
6. Manage consignment stocks ensuring all settlements are carried out on a monthly cycle
7. Ensure the SAP physical inventory checks are carried out daily
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
8. MCIPS or working towards.
9. Heavy manufacturing industry experience
10. MRP knowledge an experience
11. Strong purchasing experience – 3+ Years working in a Purchasing Management position
12. Experience building relationships with stakeholders
13. SAP knowledge / Qualification – desirable
14. Experience managing teams / People Management experience
