A permanent vacancy for a B8A Principal Clinical Psychologist has arisen within the Community Perinatal Mental Health Team, which is a multi-disciplinary service for women at risk of, or experiencing, pre-existing or newly occurring mental illness during pregnancy or within the first postnatal year.
The service sees women with a full range of psychiatric disorder, including first-episode psychosis, mood and anxiety disorders.
You’ll provide a high quality psychology service to service users. This will involve psychological assessment and the delivery of evidence-based psychological therapy, individually and in groups, the provision of consultation to the multi-disciplinary team, and the provision of reflective practice, staff training, and supervision of the psychological interventions delivered by multi-disciplinary staff.
You’ll join a highly motivated Psychology team within the service, and will be supervised and line managed by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and be part of ‘Specialist Services’ in NHSGGC, where you’ll benefit from professional support and access to CPD opportunities.
You’ll be required to provide clinical placements to trainees undertaking the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology therefore you’ll have completed, or be eligible for, formal training in the supervision of others that is recognised by the DClinPsy programme.
