About the opportunity
You will be a key part of a team that is passionate about delivering unforgettable customer care, all while having the support, resources, and progression opportunities that come with the biggest brand in healthcare.
Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Leading clinics and providing specialist care and advice to all patients.
2. Testing eyes using the latest technology whilst maintaining outstanding patient care.
3. Delivering enhanced services depending on the store needs.
4. Responding to emergency triages.
5. Working with external healthcare professionals.
6. Providing clinical support to team members on the shop floor.
7. Providing advice to patients using your clinical knowledge.
8. Keeping up to date with the latest clinical practices.
9. Working closely with senior stakeholders.
What you’ll need to have
The essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role:
1. GOC registered (or expecting to be in the next 6 months).
2. Additional registration with the relevant NHS body.
3. Drive to deliver excellent patient care.
4. Excellent communication and organisation skills.
5. The motivation to ‘See What’s Possible’ for our teams, customers, and patients.

Optometrists - we are very excited to be recruiting a full-time optometrist for our fantastic practice at Boots Opticians Richmond. We have 3 testing rooms, benefiting from brilliant equipment including a Phoropter and OCT to support us in our journey to provide the best service to our customers and patients.

Richmond transport and travel are very accessible. Richmond station is a slow 10-minute walk away with an option of underground and overground and a whole variety of buses with drop off right outside the store. There is off-street parking available 10 minutes walk away too.
You will join our amazing team of 14 which includes another Resident Optometrist, 1 X DO etc.
