People like you .A Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make:As a Vehicle Inspection Engineer, your day will see you on the road meeting customers across your region, carrying out detailed vehicle inspections with precision and professionalism.From pre-purchase checks to warranty evaluations and dealer audits, you'll play a vital role in ensuring vehicles meet the highest standards of safety and quality.By delivering accurate reports and representing DEKRA with expertise and integrity, you'll directly support customer confidence and help maintain the exceptional reputation of our growing business.What You'll Do:Conduct high-quality vehicle inspections at customer locations, ensuring accuracy and professionalism at all timesComplete detailed inspection reports promptly following each visitCarry out a range of inspections including pre-purchase checks, warranty evaluations, audits and mechanical assessmentsIdentify cosmetic and structural issues, including substandard repairs to bodyworkSupport operational initiatives and contribute to the development of new processes and programmesWhat You'll Bring:Proven mechanical experience within vehicle maintenance, servicing or MOT environmentsStrong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and professional reportsExcellent organisational and communication skills, with a customer-focused approachAbility to work independently in a field-based role while contributing to a wider teamFull UK driving licenceEssential:City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)Membership of a professional body such as IMI or IRTEExperience in conducting vehicle inspections, audits, or appraisalsInterest or involvement in continuous improvement initiatives or operational developmentWhat You'll Receive for the Value You Bring:25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysHoliday buy and sell schemePrivate health insurancePension contributionEmployee referral schemeElectric vehicle salary sacrifice schemeEye test vouchersEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Let's create a safer world today.
