Assistant Digital Business Partner
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Digital Business Partner and Head of Strategy & Planning in understanding and aligning customer ICT requirements with NHS strategies.
* Contribute to the development of tailored ICT solutions.
* Attend and support service reviews, development meetings, and customer discussions, representing the Digital Business Team and NHIS, including off‑site and outside normal working hours.
* Manage specific customer requests and provide input for service agreements.
* Address issues such as unpaid invoices and customer complaints through appropriate channels.
* Complete internal documentation and coordinate with project managers to resolve order delays.
* Support junior team members with tasks.
* Procure equipment and services in compliance with financial regulations.
Knowledge Requirements
* Knowledge, training and experience in ICT.
* Knowledge and awareness of a Primary or Acute care setting.
* Effective empathy and persuasive skills.
* Ability to negotiate.
* Ability to work with supplier contracts and costs.
* Advanced keyboard skills.
* Microsoft Office – advanced use.
* Ability to act and work flexibly and on own initiative.
* Ability to concentrate in stressful situations and when interrupted.
* Ability to communicate with clinical & non‑clinical staff ranging from Senior to Junior levels.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification/experience.
* ITIL Service Management Foundation.
* Microsoft Office Skills.
* Experience/knowledge of PRINCE2.
* Knowledge of Data Protection Act.
* Knowledge of Freedom of Information Act.
Experience
* Good level of ICT experience.
* Experience of communicating and explaining ICT issues.
* Experience of negotiating with suppliers.
* Experience of purchasing.
* Experience of ICT projects.
* Experience of inter‑organisational working.
* Effective written and oral communication skills.
Contractual Requirements
* Ability to work flexibly, outside normal office hours, in order to suit the needs of the users.
* Ability to travel between NHIS sites.
