About The Role
The Front Desk Host plays a key and integral role in our member experience. Based at our reception area, you are the first point of contact for members, guests, and employees arriving at the Workspace. As a friendly face, you set the tone with a warm welcome and are always on hand to field requests and enquiries. As we host a lot of events, things can also get busy, and you’ll be the calm guide, steering and signposting members and guests to where they need to be.
As the face of our community, your presence helps everyone feel welcomed, supported, and connected to our wider network of climate tech entrepreneurs. You will be responsible for greeting visitors, managing enquiries, and maintaining an organised and welcoming front desk environment.
Key responsibilities
* Greet and assist members, guests, and employees with a friendly hello - ensuring a warm welcome and an organised reception desk;
* Managing front desk operations - letting people know when their guests have arrived, handling phone and inbox communications, and organising post;
* Opening the workspace on arrival - lights, checking meeting rooms, air conditioning, etc;
* Troubleshooting audio visual or printer issues and managing/monitoring workspace supplies;
* Monitoring member attendance, and managing meeting room bookings - always ensuring meeting rooms are tidy;
* Working closely with the Membership and Ecosystem Lead to ensure member needs and opportunities are handled fast and efficiently;
* Supporting promotion of community events.
We need you to have experience in
* Excellent service experience, preferably in a similar role;
* Warm, friendly, and approachable style;
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, with people at all levels;
* Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure, especially during busy periods and events;
* Tech-savviness - comfortable troubleshooting office equipment and booking systems;
* A flexible, dependable, adaptable and reliable working philosophy - willing to flex to changing schedules;
* Ability to remain composed and take the initiative during unexpected situations, or emergencies.
You ideally have experience in
* Experience in working in a co-working, or shared, workspace environment;
* Passion or interest in climate tech, sustainability, or entrepreneurship, which can enhance member interactions and engagement.
Benefit
* Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. This role is offered on a full-time basis. We are open to discussing a job share arrangement.
* Remuneration: £28,860 per annum
