We are looking for a Senior Construction Supervisor to join our Buildings team based in Central London. You will effectively and professionally manage, monitor, and supervise the construction works at a central London commercial development including management of relevant subcontract package – deliver in accordance with company procedures, programme requirements and project specifications.
What you'll do:
1. Promote the site safety culture, ensure all works are carried out in planned, controlled and safe manner in accordance with statutory regulations, current standards and company health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
2. Manage the trade contractors including the production of works to drawings and specifications, manage performance on site.
3. Oversee subcontractors, labour and material requirements for the contract and support Construction Managers with matters primarily relating to onsite activities.
4. Solve site problems when they occur, providing feedback to Project/Construction Managers on any defects or defaults found and put forward any innovative ideas to alter current methodology.
5. Regularly inspect works for compliance with design, and specifications, and ensure all design solutions offered by designers and sub-contractors fully comply with the project requirements.
What you'll bring to the role:
6. Construction related qualification to HNC level.
7. Member, or working towards membership, of a professional institution (MCIOB/ICE highly desirable)
8. Be in possession of a current Managers CSCS card and other relevant qualifications including SMSTS & First Aider Qualified
9. Suitable experience as a Construction Supervisor on similar size, and type, projects for a tier 1 main contractor preferred
