We are currently recruiting a Lead Driver to support and lead a team of Community Care Drivers with new contracts we have in the Wiltshire area.
As the Lead Driver, you will oversee the day to day run out of vehicles for daily duty. You will work with the Operations Manager to oversee day to day duties.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 20 - 40 hours per week. Part Time or Full Time available
Salary:£12.06 ph
Shift Pattern:Monday to Friday, variable hours with some requirement to be on-call

Main Duties:
10. Work with the Operations Manager to plan the drivers work schedules to ensure the most efficient working practice and to ensure drivers do not exceed drivers’ hours legislation and that the required rest periods are adhered to and monitored.
11. Carry out 3 monthly driving licence (monthly for those with points), driver CPC (if required)
12. Work with the Operations Manager/TM during any recruitment process as required.
13. Be the first point of contact for driving staff to deal with any day-to-day issues that arise.
14. Assist the OM/TM to ensure that statutory obligations as stipulated in the Operator’s Licence are met.
15. Responsible for walk round checks of the premises and reporting back to the OM/TM.
What are we looking for?
16. PHV/PCV Licence preferred Cat D/D1 (without 101 restriction) or B Licence (car)
17. CPC certification is advantageous.
18. Minimum 2 years driving experience preferred.
19. Management/supervisor experience, within the last 3 years preferred.
20. The ability to build strong, effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
21. Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
22. Meticulously organised with a proven track record of successfully reaching deadlines
