What's involved with this role: Job Title: Community Events Support Officer Ref: Bromsgrove RQ1620627 Pay rate: £13.69 per hour PAYE Role length: Anticipated 3 months Working arrangements: Hybrid working. Occasionally required to work some weekends and evenings to attend events Additional requirements: Basic DBS and Driving Licence The role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Community Events Officer to join the team to support events delivery and co-ordination of events, internally and externally. You will be a team player who is energetic, innovative, determined and positive enough to develop shared services and contribute to the future model of the service delivery discussions, proven track record of working as an events officer, an in-depth knowledge and experience of the services within local authority, excellent IT skills and ability to demonstrate innovation within previous roles in the design, planning and implementation of front-line services. Key responsibilities: Develop, implement, deliver and monitor a cohesive programme of internal and external events Work closely with the Parks Project & Events Officer to ensure efficient use of resources and integration across services Assist in the creation of service and site-specific improvement plans to increase community participation, usage, and satisfaction Build effective working relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and community groups to improve service provision to local residents Support the development of activity programmes and initiatives that highlight the positive impact of sport, physical activity, arts, and cultural experiences on quality of life Contribute to ongoing discussions around future models of service delivery and shared service development What the client is looking for: Proactive team player who is energetic, innovative, and committed to improving community services Proven experience in a similar events-focused role, ideally within a local authority setting Excellent project management and organisational skills Strong IT skills and a track record of using digital tools to enhance event planning and delivery Ability to demonstrate creative thinking and innovation in the design and implementation of front-line services A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders and community partners How to Apply: Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
