The Best Connection Ltd are an Employment business recruiting on behalf of our client.
We require an experienced Class 2 HGV driver for holiday and sickness cover for our client who operates a small remote operation in Thorne from their Head Office in Colchester. The work is to cover holidays and sickness absence at their Thone Depot.
This role will require the driver to locate and access the loaded truck in the yard and set off on the delivery route. The products to be delivered are sofa's and are secured on racks in the back of the truck, these products will be delivered on a multi drop basis, mostly to furniture retailer's shops or their warehouses. There is some handballing involved in taking the sofas off the rack and lowering them to the truck bed, the sofas have wheels on and can be pushed to the loading bay or tail lift.
PAY :
* We will pay £ 14.00 per hour on a flat rate basis
* All breaks are paid.
* The driver is guaranteed a minimum payment of 9 hours a day.
The successful candidate must be prepared to be courteous and polite to our client's customers.
Some paperwork will be required to get POD from the customer.
No IN10, DR or DD endorsements on licence will be accepted. CPC and digi card is required. Some experience is required as no training will be available, the candidate will be expected to step into the role operating by phone with the Transport Manager.
