We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.
Roles: HGV Class 1
- Nights HGV Class 1 Shunter
- Afters HGV Class 2
- Nights Hours: Class 1 & 2 Nights
- 40 hours a week( (10hr shifts, 4 days a week) Sunday, Monday.
Thursday, Friday
- 22:00pm
- 23:59pm starts Class 1 Shunter
- Sunday to Thursday, 12:00pm starts Pay Rate: Class 1 Shunter
- £14.36 PAYE per hour, rising to £15.11 after 12 weeks Class 1 Nights
- £15.87 PAYE Per Hour, rising to £16.62 after 12 weeks Class 2 Nights
- £15,65 PAYE per hour, rising to £16.35 after 12 weeks Location: Crewe, CW1 Job Type : Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate The role: HGV Class 1 & 2: Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
Handling runs with 1-2 stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
HGV Class 1 shunter: Perform shunting of trailers within the yard to ensure efficient operations.
Safely maneuver vehicles in tight and busy spaces.
Conduct pre and post operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
Coordinate with the yard and dispatch teams to maintain seamless workflow.
Report any defects or issues promptly to the maintenance team.
Maintain accurate records of shunting activities and vehicle movements.
Assist with other yard duties as needed Requirements: Full UK driving licence with Class 1 or 2 entitlement (category CE/ C).
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
