Responsibilities
* Support seven driving examinations a day, meeting people from all walks of life. Use your people skills to put nervous customers at ease while you explain instructions and record results on a tablet to determine whether they meet the required standards.
* Make fair, clear decisions on whether candidates meet the required standards and communicate both positive and negative outcomes with tact and diplomacy.
* Train to become a fully qualified Driving Examiner through online learning, practical training at a local test centre, and up to three weeks of guidance at regional training facilities.
* Work within test centres grouped into clusters and select a cluster local to you once a job offer is made.
Qualifications
* Hold a UK or EU driving licence for at least three years.
* No more than three penalty points on your licence.
* Good knowledge of the Highway Code and correct road procedures.
* Be calm under pressure, respectful of diversity and inclusivity, and possess exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
* Be friendly, team-spirited and committed to setting high standards that drivers will uphold for years to come.
