Role Summary:

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the shift with regards to the management of staff, management of production and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production processes.

Days: Monday - Thursday

Hours: 2pm-2am

Salary: £37,000 pa

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsibility of the quality of product that is produced within the shift in line with the company's quality systems, processes, and procedures.
* The day to day running of the operational department.
* Manage, develop, and motivate direct reporting staff in with company core values.
* Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance, general issues. Productivity, Waste, Absence, Training, UPMS and giveaways.
* To ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace [GMP must be min 80%].
* Accountable for HR management of the production team.
* Accountable for opening & closing of factory/site in line with their contracted shifts.
* Accountable to manage the teams to the agreed labour costings.
* Accountable for ensuring the toolboxes/shadow boards in each area are complete and knives and scissor register is correct.
* Accountable for ensuring the fire register is correct for each shift and the in and out board is correct.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Good computer skills with advanced proficiency in Word, Excel.
* To be accountable for the shift time sheet of staffing working hours & overtime hours and liaise with finance end of week to ensure it is correct for wages.
* To complete a full handover prior and end of shifts.
* To be fully competent on using the work safe live software in machine start up checks, flt checks and fire safety checks.
* To be fully competent/accountable for using any electronic systems currently in place for completing runs and checking runs for production.
* Responsible for the training of all staff up to company standards.
* Ensuring all staff training folders are up to date and that you and they are confident in signing them off.
* To be able to support/manage the business with any projects as required.
* To be able to host a daily production meeting to go over performances, labour recovery and any other subjects with team leaders.
* To be able to organise overtime teams if required and manage the rotation of key ops doing the overtime.

Qualifications / Experience:

* FMCG environment experience is required.
* HR experience in leading investigations and disciplinaries.
* Management of teams of min 15 people.
* Understanding data for operation performance standards

* Strong time management and prioritisation skills to ensure shift objectives are met efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent analytic skills to understand and explain performance data.
* Proactive problem-solving capabilities with a logical and solution-oriented approach.
* High level of attentiveness and situational awareness to ensure smooth and safe operations.
* Demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and accountability.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Sound understanding and adherence to workplace health and safety procedures.
* Commitment to maintaining high quality and production standards.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong computer skills with advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point.
