Senior Legal Counsel
Fully remote
The Duties:
1. Monitor and interpret commercial, IT, regulatory, and other legal developments (e.g., GDPR, PSD3), identifying those impacting the business and facilitating or taking appropriate action to resolve issues.
2. Create and update standard contracts, terms & conditions, internal policies, systems, and controls.
3. Draft and negotiate contracts such as processing, partner, collaboration/joint venture, BIN sponsorship, gateway services, and employee arrangements.
4. Handle company secretarial matters, including managing the Group structure, conducting Board meetings, preparing minutes, and statutory filings.
5. Manage any litigation involving the Group.
6. Oversee IP, domains, and trademark registrations of the Group.
The requirements:
1. Minimum 4 years PQE experience.
2. Experience in general commercial law within an in-house role.
3. Background in the payments or financial services sector.
4. Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
5. Ability to quickly learn and maintain knowledge of complex products, solutions, and legal frameworks.
6. Ability to collaborate across business functions to support various departments.
7. Experience managing company secretarial processes and matters.
8. Solutions-oriented with excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
