About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Joining HC-One provides a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, your responsibilities will include planning and implementing engaging activities for our Residents, assisting the Home Manager with organising fundraising events, and encouraging socialisation and participation based on Residents’ hobbies. You will work with compassion and kindness above all else.
We are seeking someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. Effective time management and considerate communication with Residents and colleagues are also important.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond appropriately. All colleagues will attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You must be able to seek advice and escalate concerns if necessary.
We offer full training and a range of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG check
* Free uniform
* Nutritious meals during shifts of eight hours or more
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays

* Access to high street discounts and colleague benefits
* Employee Assistance Programme offering 24/7 support

We are committed to inclusive working practices and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to join our HC-One family. We aim for a quick onboarding process from offer to start date.
