Job title: Materials Planner
Job location: South East London
Hourly pay rate: £19.94 PAYE / £25.34 Umbrella
Shifts: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30
Duration: 1 year minimum
Start date: ASAP
Industries considered: All Warehouse backgrounds - Rolling Stock, Automotive and Aerospace is desirable
Disciplines considered: Materials Controller, Stores and Materials Scheduler and Planner

Position Summary: Work as part of a Logistics team led by the Stores Team Leader. The key duties involve controlling materials from suppliers to internal departments.
Key responsibilities:
1. Express delivery needs to Suppliers
2. Follow up on deliveries to ensure goods availability for Alstom projects
3. Monitor Supplier performance KPIs
4. Ensure and update the accuracy of material planning master data, complying with stock and logistic constraints
5. Create Material Planning documents (Call-off, Schedule Agreement) & Source List
6. Communicate planning documents to Suppliers and confirm receipt
7. Analyse supplier confirmations vs. Alstom needs, evaluate risks and impacts on production/projects
8. Identify priorities related to risk/impact and establish recovery actions
9. Maintain delivery dates in OTIF terms
10. Track missing parts until stock is available
11. Resolve receiving issues (overstock, shortage, damage, documentation, etc.)
12. Analyse and share delivery performance KPIs with stakeholders (internal & external)
13. Contribute to business risk assessments and mitigation plans
Personal Profile:
* Basic PC skills (Microsoft Word/Excel)
* Experience with SAP and/or Maximo systems is advantageous
* Self-motivated
* Fluent in English with good communication skills
