Full and Part‑time opportunities. We are looking to recruit professional, efficient and confidential coordinators to provide an administrative service to the Wiltshire Breast Screening Programme and the Breast Centre Outpatient Service as part of the multi‑disciplinary team.
Responsibilities include accurate inputting of screening and symptomatic information into dedicated systems, adhering to NHS guidelines and unit policies to ensure the correct patient pathway and timely results for women attending mammography.
* Interpret screening information into the NHSBSP computer system while following ‘Right Result’ policies.
* Ensure all patients receive the right result within designated timescales.
* Arrange and rearrange appointments for various clinic types and software systems, including clients with disabilities, recalled patients, known cancer patients, and GP referrals.
* Send final results letters promptly via the NBSS system and assist with batch specification.
* Prepare and manage assessment clinics to meet NHSBSP deadlines, including contacting recalled patients and ensuring timely follow‑up.
* Attend twice‑weekly multi‑disciplinary team meetings to obtain data, ensure pathology reporting forms are accurate, and discuss breast referral patients.
* Prepare and manage symptomatic and outpatient clinics using the Choose and Book system, Medway, and ICE software systems.
* Liaise with disciplines and departments to ensure efficient operation of the Breast Centre service and that cancer targets are met.
* Input clinical reports onto the hospital system and coordinate appointments for pre‑op procedures.
* Facilitate follow‑up care for known cancer patients with strong family history and organise suitable MRI testing.
* Conduct monthly audits of departmental work instructions and procedures, reporting discrepancies to the Programme Manager.
Work may involve prolonged concentration, substantial PC usage, and occasional visits to community mobile unit sites.
