Streetwise Couriers are part of the APC Network providing UK overnight, same-day and international delivery services, based in Hook Rise Business Centre in Surbiton (very busy courier company). We are seeking an experienced finance professional to manage the full day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the business. This is a standalone position, reporting directly to the Managing Director, and is responsible for all financial processing, controls, reporting and payroll activities.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident in running an accounts function independently, enjoys a varied hands-on workload, and can provide clear financial insight to support operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
* Produce monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow commentary
* Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Prepare and submit VAT returns
* Maintain and monitor daily cashflow, highlighting risks and trends
* Liaise with external accountants on year-end files and statutory accounts
* Provide financial updates and analysis to the Managing Director
