Overview
College Services Advisor (0.8 FT) — University of Nottingham International College, Nottingham, United Kingdom. The College Services Advisor plays a crucial role in supporting students’ success and providing an excellent student experience and customer service. The College Services team covers student support and success from welcome to registration, supporting wellbeing, academic and quality assurance, student progression, compliance and administration. You will deliver high-quality services and provide responsive and proactive support and advice to students.
Responsibilities
* Providing responsive support and excellent service in person in the Welcome area, around the College and digitally
* Handle student enquiries with a flexible, personalised and inclusive approach
* Provide excellent customer service in a student-facing environment
* Support the development and delivery of extra-curricular activities
* Monitoring and tracking of student progress
* Advising and signposting to appropriate support
* Support students in relation to wellbeing and safeguarding
* Maintain accurate information on the student management system
* Support pre-arrival, arrivals, registration and welcome events
* Assist in the maintenance and development of student-facing content
* Provide administrative support
* Assist compliance with regulatory frameworks
You will also
* Have a flexible approach to work, for example, some out of hours work may be required at busy periods
* Work with the College team, university partner(s) and other Kaplan Pathways teams to continuously improve the student experience
* Undertake other duties as required by the College Management Team
Qualifications
* Ability to deliver excellent customer service skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Strong interest in working in education and in particular international students
* Confident with IT, in particular Microsoft Excel
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
* Willingness to work flexibly
* Experience of working as part of a team to achieve goals
* Attention to detail
* Ability to take initiative
