We are currently recruiting an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor to join a highly regarded specialist Criminal Law Team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and respected practice, handling a varied and high-quality caseload of private criminal matters.
The team acts for both individuals and corporate clients who are under investigation or facing prosecution by leading enforcement and regulatory bodies, including the Police, CPS, Serious Fraud Office (SFO), HMRC, Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), National Crime Agency (NCA), RSPCA, and other key regulators.
You will play a central role in delivering strategic, client-focused defence work from the point of investigation through to court proceedings. This is a fast-paced and varied position, where you will provide clear, commercially aware advice and strong representation, ensuring clients are fully supported throughout what are often high-pressure and sensitive matters.
We are looking for an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor (ideally 5+ PQE) who thrives in complex, challenging work and takes pride in delivering exceptional client care. Leadership experience is essential – this could be leading a small team or a larger department – as you will play an active role in mentoring and supporting junior lawyers within the team.
You will be confident managing your own caseload with discretion, accuracy, and efficiency, always focused on achieving the best possible outcomes while minimising disruption to clients’ personal and professional lives.
This is a nationwide practice, and the role will require travel for police station attendances and court appearances where necessary.
