Role and Facility
Position: General Radiologist
Employer: East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH), affiliated with UBC Faculty of Medicine
Location: Cranbrook, BC
Your expertise will contribute to diagnostic care across a broad range of modalities and non-vascular interventional procedures. You will work within the Medical Imaging Department, leveraging modern technology to support high-quality patient care and teaching activities.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality diagnostic radiology services using a broad spectrum of imaging modalities.
* Participate in non-vascular interventional procedures as appropriate.
* Utilize PACS for integrated workflow with peripheral hospitals and imaging clinics.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
* Engage in teaching and mentoring activities with residents and medical students, with regular CME sessions and bedside teaching opportunities.
* Lead or participate in Physician Quality Improvement (PQI) initiatives supported by Doctors of BC.
Qualifications
* Canadian radiology certification and eligibility for licensure in British Columbia.
* Wide-ranging skills as a general radiologist with interest or expertise in echocardiography and nuclear medicine preferred.
* Ability to work in a collaborative, teaching-focused environment with a commitment to patient-centered care.
Compensation and Benefits
* Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service; Estimated remuneration around $600K annually, plus MOCAP Level 1.
* Benefits and incentives: includes vacation leave, relocation funding options, recruitment incentive, and RCME-related CME funding, with Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) adjustments where applicable.
* Relocation Funding: up to $9,000 (within BC), $12,000 (within Canada), $15,000 (from outside Canada).
* Recruitment Incentive: $20,000 (prorated for part-time).
