Job Description
As Chef De Rang in our luxury hotel, you will ensure a full and accurate delivery of Food and Beverage to The Restaurant guests. Collect food and beverage from dispense and/or pass areas and serve to standard as set by Standard Operating Manual (SOP). You will provide attentive service, ensuring customer comfort at all times. Communicate any customer complaints and attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain a friendly, professional, helpful, and courteous attitude to ensure excellent service to guests and colleagues.
2. Present the Restaurant menu to guests, advising on availability, daily specials, and promotions.
3. Take accountability for correct ordering and suggestive up-selling.
4. Ensure correct billing and processing of payments.
5. Protect the restaurant and hotel’s property.
6. Deliver Food and Drinks from BOH to guests in a timely manner.
7. Collect, clean, and maintain equipment for all aspects of Mise en place and service.
8. Maintain constant coverage on the floor and engage with guests.
9. Participate in briefings before each service period.
10. Attend training sessions to improve performance and knowledge.
11. Have thorough knowledge of the food & beverage items on The Restaurant menus.
12. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation of furnishings, service areas, and equipment, reporting any issues to management.
13. Be flexible and carry out other duties as assigned, including redeployment to other departments as needed.
14. Inform Managers of guest comments or requirements if unable to resolve immediately.
15. Adhere to all Health & Safety, Emergency, Fire, and Hygiene procedures in accordance with policies and regulations.
16. Maintain personal cleanliness and grooming standards at all times.
17. Ensure proper handover at the end of your shift.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a Michelin-starred or equivalent fine dining environment.
* Professional training in hospitality or culinary arts.
* Deep knowledge of gastronomy and wine pairing.
* Attention to detail, presentation, and guest interaction.
* Strong communication skills; fluency in English required, additional languages desirable.
* Calm under pressure with a discreet and polished manner.
