Team Leader - Welfare & Safeguarding Location: Crowborough Salary: £46,800pa Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role We are recruiting a proactive Team Leader - Welfare & Safeguarding to oversee the welfare, safeguarding, and administration of a large cohort of Service Users. You will lead a team of welfare staff and subcontractors, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and compliance. Working to Standard Operating Procedures, you will respond to issues, coordinate interventions, and maintain a safe, supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Service User Support Manage a caseload, ensuring welfare, safety, and wellbeing Conduct welfare checks and accommodation visits Signpost to medical and support services Arrange transport, relocations, and move-on processes Report incidents, issues, and absences Team Leadership & Site Management Lead the welfare team, including rota planning and supervision Provide training and ensure performance standards Oversee accommodation maintenance, safety, and compliance Conduct inspections and manage repairs Support effective property and void management Stakeholder Engagement Work with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders Attend meetings and maintain strong partnerships Administration & Compliance Maintain accurate records and documentation Ensure property certification compliance Respond to communications and operational updates Uphold data protection and confidentiality Emergency & Operational Support Provide leadership during emergencies (including 24-hour availability if required) Support wider team operations and provide cover when needed About You Experience in a Team Leader/Supervisory role (welfare, housing, or support services preferred) Strong safeguarding knowledge and duty of care awareness Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to manage teams and work under pressure Confident engaging with stakeholders and agencies Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused IT literate with strong record-keeping skills Benefits 25 days annual leave + bank holidays Westfield Health membership (health cashback, retail & gym discounts) Life cover (2x salary) Pension (4% employer / 4% employee) 6-month probation Company equipment provided Referral scheme The successful applicant will be subject to Disclosure checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
