The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a disclosure submission to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Key Responsibilities
* Register new referrals and manage referral data.
* Book appointments via IPM & E‑referral.
* Answer telephone queries and provide assistance to patients and staff.
* Complete general office tasks, including data entry and telephone enquiries.
* Provide optimum customer service to patients and staff, both in person and over the telephone.
* Work well under pressure and handle high volumes of daily activity.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
* Computer/typing skills RSA2 or equivalent.
* GCSE or Equivalent qualifications (essential).
* Experience dealing with confidential matters.
* Experience working in a busy office and understanding confidentiality issues.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Good communication and customer care skills.
* Ability to use Word & Excel; adaptable and flexible approach to change.
