The hotel is a unique combination of splendour and charm with long-standing connections with royalty that have led to it sometimes being referred to as annexe to Buckingham Palace. Claridges has a famous all-day dining and Afternoon Tea restaurant the Foyer & Reading Room, LEpicerie that offers a culinary theatre of the kitchen, and three bars: Claridges Bar, the intimate Fumoir and effortlessly elegant Painters Room.
Claridges Restaurant has opened its art deco doors onto Davies Street, as it embarks on a new era in its long history. This classically inspired but contemporary British restaurant was previously known as Claridges Restaurant over 20 years ago.
As a Demi Chef de Partie you will be responsible for:
* The preparation and service of food within the Claridge's Restaurant, working alongside the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef
* Ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times.
* Working with and supporting Chef de Parties, Demi Chef de Parties and First Commis Chefs.
* Ensuring that the kitchen areas, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy.
* Appropriate mise-en-place, stock rotation and portion control.
Successful candidates for our Demi Chef de Partie opportunity will:
* Demonstrate genuine dedication to Claridges and show a commitment to consistent quality in our product and service.
* Experience as a commis chef in a fast paced kitchen environment
* Hotel experience would be beneficial however not essential
* You will have a passion for food and quality products, be a team player who is an avid learner who wants to be challenged and developed.
