Offer description

University Hospitals of North Midlands - Call Centre Assistant Role

Note: We are currently unable to provide sponsorship for Band 2 and Band 3 roles in accordance with UKVI guidelines. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply; however, UHNM cannot offer sponsorship at the end of your visa. You should also have at least six months remaining on your visa at the start of employment for training and operational reasons.

The Telecommunications Department at UHNM, Royal Stoke, is recruiting for Call Centre Assistants to join our team.

1. We operate a busy 24/7 telephone switchboard/service for the Trust and its users, handling a wide range of inquiries.
2. We are the first point of contact for patients, staff, GPs, and healthcare professionals, managing everything from general inquiries to emergency response procedures.
3. Customer service skills are essential. We seek individuals who are flexible, articulate, enthusiastic, effective communicators, and able to remain calm under pressure.

The shift pattern varies, rotating over 5 days out of 7, with start times as early as 6am and finish times as late as 10pm. Night shifts may be required to meet service needs.

Previous applicants need not apply.

If you meet the criteria and wish to join our dedicated team, we would like to hear from you!

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is one of the largest and most modern in the country, serving around three million people across two sites: Royal Stoke in Stoke-on-Trent and County Hospital in Stafford. We are a major trauma center for the North Midlands and North Wales, with excellent facilities, teaching, and research opportunities.

We value all our employees and offer a range of development packages to help everyone reach their potential. UHNM promotes a culture of inclusion, equal opportunities, and diversity, ensuring all staff feel valued and respected.

Investing in our staff directly impacts the quality of care we provide. Our employees are as important as our patients and the communities we serve.
