Job Description

We are entering one of the busiest periods of the year for supply demand, and we are urgently recruiting experienced Year 6 Teachers to support primary schools across Ellesmere Port.

With SATs season approaching, schools are looking for confident, experienced teachers who can step in and maintain high standards in upper KS2.

The Role:

1. Teaching within a Year 6 class
2. Delivering focused, structured lessons
3. Supporting pupils in preparation for SATs
4. Maintaining strong behaviour management and high expectations
5. Contributing to booster sessions and intervention where required

Essential Requirements:

6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Recent Year 6 teaching experience
8. Strong SATs preparation experience
9. Confident behaviour management
10. Ability to hit the ground running

Job Specification

Your role as a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher in the age group of your speciality will be varied and at times challenging. But we doubt you’ll find a more satisfying career where your main objectives will be to develop the children and prepare them for the next stage.

As a Primary School Key Stage 2 Teacher you’ll be expected to:

11. Teach all areas of the school curriculum
12. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
13. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
14. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
15. Maintain discipline
16. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
17. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
18. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
19. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
