Children’s Home Deputy Manager – Cardiff

Key Responsibilities
* Support the Registered Manager in daily operational duties and management tasks
* Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team to ensure high standards of care and practice
* Maintain excellent safeguarding standards in accordance with Ofsted and local authority regulations
* Drive positive outcomes for young people through person-centred care planning and support
* Build effective relationships with families, social workers, and external professionals
* Oversee care plans, audits, and quality assurance processes to ensure continuous improvement
* Support staffing rotas, staff supervision, and team coordination to maintain seamless service delivery
Requirements
* Proven experience working within a children’s residential care environment, preferably at leadership or supervisory level
* Confidence in supervising, mentoring, and motivating staff teams
* Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures, Ofsted regulations, and children’s care standards
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Relevant qualification such as Level 3 in Children & Young People, with willingness to work towards Level 5 (desirable)
