The Role
Location: Leeds (3 days in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
Type: Full Time
Contract type: Permanent

Key Duties
 * Process weekly and bi‑weekly payroll for c.700 staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant state and federal laws.
 * Deliver weekly reporting to Operations, ensuring key KPIs are met.
 * Reconcile payroll taxes on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring timely payments in line with statutory regulations.
 * Reconcile employee benefit schemes and produce ad‑hoc reporting and submissions as required.
 * Process and report employee expenses.
 * Support the wider finance team at month‑end with reporting for both bonus provisions and accruals.
 * Support field teams with operational KPIs and ad‑hoc reporting.
 * Respond to employee pay queries efficiently and timely.
 * Process garnishments and wage attachments.
 * Process year‑end submissions for payroll taxes.
 * Ensure statutory compliance across pay rates, taxes, benefits and pensions (401K) via our Paylocity system.
 * Perform other admin related tasks as required.
The Person
 * Professional qualification (CIPP or equivalent).
 * At least 3 years of experience in a senior payroll role.
 * Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and exposure to integration of payroll systems or transformation projects.
 * Ability to identify potential errors and streamline processes for efficiency.
 * Autonomous and able to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines.
 * Excellent attention to detail.
 * Team player who maintains professional and collaborative relationships with all departments, key stakeholders and third parties.
