What the Job Involves As a Social Worker in the North Support and Safeguarding team, you will work directly with children, young people, and families. Your responsibilities will include leading on Child in Need and Child Protection plans, and you may be involved in legal processes to secure a child's permanence. You will benefit from a 'one journey' model where you stay with the child from the initial referral through to permanence. You will work in a supportive environment with access to multidisciplinary team support, including key workers and practitioner support for meetings. A hybrid working model is available, offering opportunities to work remotely from home or various locations across the county.
