Procurement Manager
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
* Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.
* Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements to achieve best value.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
* Monitor supplier performance against KPIs (quality, cost, delivery).
* Conduct regular supplier reviews and audits.
* Identify and deliver cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
* Monitor commodity markets and manage price fluctuations.
* Prepare and manage procurement budgets and forecasts.
* Ensure all suppliers meet relevant food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC, ISO).
* Maintain full traceability of materials in line with regulatory requirements.
* Support internal and external audits.
* Work closely with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure material availability.
* Manage inventory levels, minimising waste and avoiding stockouts.
* Oversee supplier lead times and delivery schedules.
* Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., supplier dependency, disruptions).
* Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in procurement within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) desirable.

* Supplier performance (quality, delivery, reliability).
* Stock availability and inventory turnover.
* Compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
