Education Programme Manager - Education and Equalities Location : London Fields, Hackney. Hybrid Salary : £44,170 Band 5 Contract : Permanent Hours : Full Time
Please note that we are recruiting for both a permanent position and a fixed term (18 months) position.
For over 60 years the National Childrens Bureau (NCB) has been building a better childhood for all.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly skilled and passionate Education & Equalities team at the National Childrens Bureau (NCB) and the Council for Disabled Children (CDC).
We champion the rights of disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs (SEN), helping schools and early years settings to become more inclusive, equitable and welcoming.
As an Education Programme Manager, you will manage and deliver programmes across our education and equalities work. Current areas include the Healthy Schools and Healthy Early Years London programmes, the EYSEND Partnership supporting early years and family hubs to improve inclusion, and national networks such as the Special Educational Consortium (SEC).
Alongside programme delivery, you will gather and analyse evidence, contribute to consultation responses and help build consensus among a wide range of stakeholders. This work supports our aim to influence and improve practice and policy for disabled children and those with SEN.
The role involves managing complex programmes from planning through delivery and evaluation. You will monitor budgets, produce resources and reports, and organise engaging events and training for education professionals. You will work closely with schools, early years settings, local authorities, health and public health partners, professional and voluntary sector networks, funders and policy makers, as well as parents, carers and children and young people, turning evidence and insight into practical impact for education.

Our priority areas are currently focused on early years, special education needs and disability, health and social care and education and learning. We are a dynamic and multifaceted organisation at an exciting stage in our development a review of our purpose around a virtuous cycle of evidence gathering, research, influencing and practice improvement.
