Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse passionate about improving standards of care for people with mental health difficulties and their carer’s, and ensuring the delivery of high quality, responsive, safe, and effective care? Due to vacancies within our community service’s we have 1 vacancy at 30 hours in Adult, 1 vacancy at 30 hours in Older Adults and 1 vacancy 37.5 hours in Adult Working age mental Health Services.

You would need to be an experienced qualified professional with a clinical background of working and leading in a mental health setting. You will need to demonstrate passion, be highly motivated, resilient with excellent communication skills.

The post holders would be part of the Clinical and Professional Development Team within the Directorate of Mental Health. You will be expected to be part of the on-call rota for out of hours for the Directorate.

Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)

As a matron you will also provide expert clinical advice and leadership for staff and promote strong links between primary, secondary and third sector services in order to effectively manage the needs of people the services work with. The post holder would be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care is provided, monitoring achievements of standards, and supporting staff to deliver care with respect and compassion.

The role would involve working closely with operational team leads, and Deputy Heads of Nursing to enable the development of high-quality clinical practice. You will be part of a supportive, innovative management and leadership team, helping us to transform our mental health services as part of our Step up to Great Mental Health transformation agenda.
