INVESTIGATOR
Our client, a leading organisation within Law Enforcement, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Investigator to join their team, starting ASAP for a 3 month initial contract with very likely ongoing long-term extension. This is a fully time role, paying £18.80ph, 36 hours PW. The role offers hyrid working, with 2 days in office and 3 days working from home (equipment provided).
Working alongside prosecutors and principal investigators, the Investigator will play a crucial role in the investigation of serious and complex cases of fraud or bribery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Actively participating in investigations by developing lines of enquiry and gathering evidence.
2. Assisting the case team in exercising powers under Section 2 CJA .
3. Reviewing substantial amounts of material to identify pertinent information and progress lines of enquiry.
4. Leading the analysis and interpretation of financial data to uncover relevant information and evidential material.
5. Planning and conducting interviews with victims, witnesses, and suspects.
6. Obtaining written statements on matters relevant to the investigation.
7. Participating actively in case conferences and contributing appropriate input to ensure the team is updated on case information.
8. Supporting the disclosure process to fulfil obligations under the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act ().
9. Managing victims and witnesses in accordance with the Code of Practise for Victims of Crime and The Witness Charter.
10. Assisting in the construction of case chronologies and decision logs.
11. Providing evidence in court when required.

12. Proficiency in gathering, analysing, and evaluating information and intelligence from various sources, including Digital Review Systems.
13. Competence in understanding, interpreting, and explaining financial data relevant to the investigation.
14. Strong skills in using MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
