SEN Teacher - Specialist SEN Primary School (Bolton)
Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (potential for permanent)
Start Date: ASAP or after October half term
Salary: £140 - £190 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons that meet the needs of pupils with Autism (ASD), MLD, SLD, and SEMH
* Work in line with EHCP targets and provide tailored support to help pupils achieve their individual goals
* Use a range of creative and sensory teaching strategies to promote engagement and communication
* Create a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages independence and emotional regulation
* Collaborate effectively with Teaching Assistants, Therapists, and SENDCo to ensure a consistent and holistic approach
* Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress in line with school and statutory frameworks
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) - essential
* Experience teaching pupils with SEN, ideally within a special school or inclusive primary setting
* Confident teaching across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 (flexibility is key)
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills with a calm, patient approach
* Strong understanding of differentiation, sensory learning, and alternative communication methods (PECS, Makaton)
* Passionate about helping every child reach their full potential
