2nd Line IT Support Engineer. £40k + Benefits Package. Chiswick, London. Permanent.
Onsite - Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Must be Eligible to work in the UK.
Education Sector experience preferred
Leading School is seeking to secure a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer. The role holder will support Teachers & Students - up to 90 end users. An external MSP will provide 3rd Line Support - the role holder will also partner with the external MSP.
This is a standalone role at the School.
Role
* 2nd Line Support - Support Teachers & Students - up to 90 end users.
* Configuration of - MacOS, iPad OS, Chromebooks & Windows 11.
* Google Workspace for Education - Administration.
* MDM - JAMF or Intune etc - Set up Mobile Devices.
* Support IT devices in Classrooms - smart boards, projectors, printers, audio visual devices, etc.
* Imaging of Workstations & Laptops.
* Maintenance of IT Systems, Network & Communications Infrastructure on a day-to-day basis.
* Managing end-user hardware provisioning, updates, security, connectivity.
* Supporting Infrastructure Network Switches, Domain Controller & Firewalls.
* Managing 3rd Party Suppliers - ensure cost efficient procurement of hardware & services.
* Asset Management - Assist with the Inventory Management of software licenses, software, hardware & IT supplies.
* Managing, maintaining and developing IT Security & Compliance Policies.
* Align to school procedures and Health & Safety polices.
* Support with the smooth running & development of the IT department.
Technical Skills Required
* 2nd Line IT Support Engineer.
* Education Sector experience preferred.
* MDM - JAMF or similar InTune etc.
* MacOS & iOS devices - support experience.
* Google Workspace - Office & Email Support.
* Support of End User Devices iPhone & iPad.
* Windows 10/11 - support experience.
* Audio/Visual devices - Smart Boards, Projectors & Interactive Displays etc.
* Hardware & Software support - installation & deployment.
* IP Telephone support.
* Antivirus & Anti-Spam support.
* Network Printer support.
* Basic Networking - Network Connectivity, Domian Controllers, Internet Access, Email, etc.
* Basic Networking - TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, SSL & IPSec, Switches, Routers, Wi-Fi Aps.
* Basic Understanding - issues involved in administering & maintaining, LAN & Wireless Network, Firewalls etc.
* Good organizational skills, combined with a proactive approach.
* Excellent communication skills.
Working Hours: Onsite Role - 8:30am - 4:30pm - with some flexibility to work from home during school holidays.
