4 day working week, 48 hour only contract
Our Client a lovely family owned restaurant looking for a Head Chef with vision, passion and excellent culinary skills to lead the team and continue to build its success.
The restaurant has a well-deserved excellent reputation for locally- sourced, seasonal menus. The successful Head Chef must share this philosophy with a passion for ingredients and the leadership skills to manage the kitchen and the brigade.
You will have extensive experience as a Chef with at least two years working at Head Chef level in a restaurant or hotel environment.
As the successful Head Chef you will:
* Have extensive and exemplary culinary skills, especially in preparing and cooking fresh fish and seafood.
* Manage the kitchen brigade and ensure food safety and health and safety standards are maintained at their current high level.
* Maintain effective controls with regards to GP and other targets as necessary.
* Have a pro-active approach to driving sales by engaging all members of the team both in the kitchen and front of house.
Benefits in addition to a competitive salary include:
* A four day week with two days off together plus a rolling rota day off.
* A 48 hour contract, additional hours if required are compensated.
