We are seeking a friendly, professional and highly organised Receptionist to join our Secondary Administrative Team from January 2026 to cover a period of maternity leave. The role would be 3 days a week, working Monday – Wednesday, 8.00am – 4.00pm with a 30 minute unpaid break each day.
As the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and professional impression of the school. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a calm, approachable manner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service for students, parents, staff, and visitors, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
2. Answer and direct telephone calls promptly, relaying accurate messages and maintaining call logs.
3. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and general correspondence.
4. Support school administration, including room bookings, reprographics, and distribution of pupil bus passes.
5. Maintain a tidy and professional reception area, representing the school’s values at all times.
6. Provide general administrative support and assist with reception cover at other sites when required.
