An established commodity trading business is looking to hire a Market Analyst to join its growing team focusing on global agricultural markets.

The successful candidate will work closely with commercial teams, providing insight and analysis on key agricultural markets and helping identify opportunities within global supply and demand dynamics.
As Market Analyst, you will be responsible for producing high-quality research and market intelligence across key agricultural commodities. The role will involve analysing global production trends, monitoring trade flows and tracking market developments that influence pricing and trading decisions. You will work closely with traders and senior stakeholders, translating complex market information into clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct fundamental analysis of global agricultural markets, including crop production, yields, acreage, stock levels and consumption trends.
* Monitor developments across major producing and exporting regions and assess potential market impacts.
* Track weather patterns, crop conditions and harvest progress affecting global supply.
* Analyse international trade flows, export competitiveness and logistics dynamics.
* Maintain and update supply–demand balance sheets and price outlook models.
* Produce regular market reports highlighting key price drivers, market developments and trading implications.
* Monitor futures markets, spreads and regional price relationships, providing insights to senior stakeholders.
* Track relevant market indicators such as freight costs, processing activity and global inventory levels.
* Support senior management with scenario analysis and research on emerging market trends.
* Maintain internal data sets, dashboards and analytical tools used for market monitoring.
Preferred Experience:
* Experience working within agricultural commodities or commodity trading environments.
* Understanding of futures markets and hedging instruments.
* Experience building supply–demand models, crop balance sheets or price forecasting tools.
* Knowledge of biofuel policies and related agricultural demand drivers.
* Familiarity with weather data, crop monitoring tools or agricultural analytics platforms.
