Job Title: IT Support Engineer – MSP | Contract | Cardiff onsite
Rate: £180–£220/day (Outside IR35, depending on experience)
Length: 3-month initial contract (likely extension)
Overview:
Our local client needs a solid 2nd Line / 3rd Line engineer to keep the wheels turning while a senior tech is seconded onto a project. If you're good with Microsoft tech, know your way around a service desk, and can plug into a busy environment without handholding, this is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Resolve end user support tickets (mix of on-site and remote)
* Use Intune, Entra, MS365, Azure for endpoint/user support
* Manage LAN/WAN networking issues (ideally Cisco/Sophos/HPE experience)
* Handle day-to-day cybersecurity: firewalls, endpoint protection, email security
* Operate within a fast-moving business, dealing with multiple clients
Required Experience:
* Multi-client environment experience strongly preferred
* Comfortable working a helpdesk/service desk role with minimal supervision
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra, Intune
* Decent networking background (LAN/WAN, Cisco/Sophos/HPE gear)
* Practical understanding of cyber security tools and issues (firewalls, email/endpoint security)
