About the role
The Leckford Estate was purchased by John Spedan Lewis (the founder of the Partnership) in 1928 as his private estate, converted into a limited company in 1929, and is now part of the John Lewis Partnership. In August 2001, the Leckford Estate became part of Waitrose & Partners, focusing on producing food for the Partnership’s food stores under the Leckford brand.
Located in rural Hampshire, Leckford Estate spans 4000 acres, including our Farm, Farmshop, Plant Nursery, Water Gardens, and holiday accommodations at Leckford Abbas and Leckford Lodges & Camping. Join us as a Farm Shop Assistant at our stunning Farm Shop & Cafe on the estate. Your role will be vital in ensuring a delightful experience for every customer, maintaining the high standards associated with the Waitrose brand.

* Salary: £12.40
* Contract Type: Permanent Partner
* Hours of Work: 39 hours per week, working 5 days in 7 including weekends, 08:45 - 17:30
Key Responsibilities
* Engaging with customers to provide excellent service.
* Replenishing stock and maintaining shop standards.
* Processing transactions efficiently.
* Rotating stock carefully to minimize food wastage.
* Adhering to food safety standards when working in the cafe.
* Supporting event activities for customers as needed.
Skills and Experience
Essential
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to work well in a team.
Desirable
* Level 2 Food Safety in Catering Certificate.
* Experience in food preparation within a retail environment.
